  1. This is inspiring. I haven't "totally" lost my job but my hours have been drastically reduced to approximately 12 hours a week. This has afforded me opportunities that haven't necessarily brought money in, however, it has brought new thought processes, the chance to figure out who I am and where I want to go (still working on that) and spending time with my Mom – I used to do it out of responsibility. Now we are having a lot of fun! She is 76 years old, we were never close up until 2 years ago and I am loving every minute of it. I am also a Grandma of two beautiful children that I adore spending time with! Plus, I have embarked on learning how to take care of myself and putting myself first. As a single mother for over 20 years I forgot how to do that! Negatives can be turned into positives! I also make soup – people give me strange items they have left over. I make soup and share it with them and a few other women who are going through tough times. I am called "the soup queen". Lol. If I could make a living making soup for those in tough times I would be the happiest woman in the world! My Mother is proud of the fact that I do this! I have waited 51 years for her to be proud of me! It has been worth the wait! Times may be tough, but I'm a fighter!
