In the summer of 2009, Donna M. Butler sat in a corner and seriously contemplated suicide. Everything seemed to have fallen apart in her life which started when her husband, Ivy, had an accident that meant there was no income for the family. Her home went into foreclosure and she had to return to work after 20 years of being a stay at home mom for 7 children. As she began to swallow each pill, through the tears and sadness, fate intervened and today she stands as the Founder and Spokesperson of The Broke Wives' Club. She is Co-Host & Co-Producer of the organization's radio show, The Attitude Shift. Her days are spent building Abeeya's Bakery, as it's owner in her southern home of Zachary, Louisiana. Today her home is out of foreclosure for the first time in 38 months after her long battle to keep the family home using her new attitude and the strength of The Broke Wives' Club tow chain philosophy.
